What a fantastic celebration at this year’s Discover Dandenong Creek Festival! A big shoutout to the City of Greater Dandenong for putting together such a vibrant and successful event once again. With more than 1,000 people coming along to enjoy the sunshine, before the stormy downpour in the late afternoon. The energy and community spirit were truly on show.
Families had a blast exploring a wide range of environmental and cultural activities, all centred around connecting with the beautiful Dandenong Creek. A special highlight of the day was the moving Welcome to Country by Bunurong, featuring a Smoking Ceremony and captivating cultural performances.
The Living Links Quiz was also a hit, with over 90 families taking part for the chance to win a 12-month Family Zoo Pass — what an effort!
And of course, a big thank you to the Melbourne Water team for their support at the Living Links tent and displaying the very popular Melbourne Water catchment model. We’re already counting down to another amazing festival next year!
