Wetlands for a sustainable urban future

Join Melbourne Water’s Waterwatch and Education teams for an afternoon of family activities and interactive displays at the Edithvale Wetlands Discovery Centre.

As part of the day we are hosting a Wetlands: beautiful and biodiverse talk. This will feature presentations from Melbourne Water, Kingston Council and wetland specialists. Attendees will learn:
• How wetlands can contribute to a sustainable urban future and make cities more liveable
• Why the Edithvale-Seaford wetlands are internationally significant
• How wetlands are constructed and planted out to improve urban stormwater quality and support biodiversity
• How to build a beautiful and biodiverse wetland on your own property, from backyard to farm dam
• Resources to discover the plants and animals of your local wetland
