Melbourne Water Frog Census has a great event organised for you this month. We are once again participating in the International Save The Frogs Day, by hosting a massive day of activities at Melbourne Water’s Edithvale Wetland Centre.

 

Program:

2.00pm Family frog info session and kids workshop – discover the frogs of Melbourne, the threats they face and practical, hands-on ways to save them.

3.30pm Family frog info session and kids workshop – discover the frogs of Melbourne, the threats they face and practical, hands-on ways to save them.

All day activities:

Frog Census ‘tech bar’ – Do you have a general frog-related question, need help with using the Frog Census app or are seeking advice on setting up a frog monitoring program? Drop in for one-on-one, walk up assistance from Melbourne Water staff for all your Frog Census queries and app use troubleshooting. Trial the Frog Census app on devices and explore a range of additional digital frog resources at your leisure.

Live frogs display – view a range of live frog species up close, including the endangered Growling Grass Frog. Presented by WildlifeXposure.

Kids Frog Activities – Get the kids involved in a range of all ages frog craft and activities, hosted by Leap Into Nature.

Explore the Edithvale Wetlands – discover why the Edithvale Wetlands are internationally significant through a range of multimedia displays. Learn about the great conservation and advocacy work being done by the Friends of Edithvale Seaford Wetlands.

This is an all weather event, as all scheduled activities are indoors within our wetlands centre.
